黃岡方言中存在著同一組語素或詞語構成的詞或句子表達基本相同的意思而有兩種語序的現象，這是一種類似於「文白異讀」的「文白異序」現象。文中對兩序並存的條件進行了探討，認為文白異序現象是古今漢語演變、南北方言推移的中間現象。

Study of Different Word Order in Huanggang Dialect

Many groups of the same morphemes or phrases which form distinguishable expressions similar in meaning but different in word order can be found in the Huanggang Dialect. This phenomenon reflects how the word order of some influential dialects co-exist harmoniously with the word order of the local dialect. This paper analyzes the conditions for this phenomenon and concludes that such a phenomenon can be viewed as an intermediate state resulting from changes in Chinese and the reciprocal impacts of the southern and northern dialects.
